Exercise is irrelevant to weight loss the way MFP is set up. The more you burn the more you eat in order to lose your goal amount of weight. So you would lose the same amount of weight whether you skipped for an hour or not at all. The difference is you will be in much better shape with exercise, and skipping is an excellent workout. Weight loss is all about having a caloric deficit that matches your current stats vs. your goal.
I used to skip 3 times/week for 10-12 minutes at a time.0 -
Tried it. Even with an amazing sports bra, it hurt the tata's way too much. I know it's excellent for you though!0

Like Erik said, if you're eating at a calorie deficit you'll lose weight. I love jump rope, and usually do intervals- 50 seconds of skipping then 10 seconds of rest. I was doing that for up to 20 minutes, but have been a bit slack lately, as I have to do it outside and it's been so hot. I love the burn and results I get when I do interval skipping. It's cheap, easy, gets your heart rate up and you can easily pack it when you go somewhere. It always goes into my suitcase before anything else0

Not One specific way to exercise will help with weight loss it all will BUT you have to be eating healthy cleans foods to loose fat weight Period! Jumping rope is a great way to help get HR up and buld endurance. I did some interval at home today for cardio.0
