Am I losing my weight to quickly?

Hiya I started at 231lb about 5-6 weeks ago. I am now 212lb. I am playing football (soccer) 4 nights per week plus running hills for 40mins 3 mornings. I am eating between 1500 and 1800 calories a day. I have always been active but its over eating that has made me overweight.
I'm just wondering if it is coming off to quickly or will it slow down? By the way I am 6ft tall so my Healthy BMI would be 184 which is now 28lbs off. I'll decide when I get closer if I want to reach that as I dont want to look skinny.
Thanks

It'll slow down.
I was 220lbs when I started in May. The first couple weeks I actually gained a couple pounds, then in like a week and a half I lost 15lbs.
I started to lose about 2.5lbs a week after that, so since Mid May I've lost 43 pounds, cause I'm at 177 right now....actually fluctuating between 177 and 180 it seems.
Oh...by the way, BMI is worthless. It doesn't take anything into consideration like muscle mass etc. Lou Ferigno should be dead based on his BMI.0 -
I think it's pretty typical to lose weight more quickly than you expect for the first few weeks. In my first 2 weeks I lost 8 lbs, but then I went down to about 1lb-1.5lbs a week immediately after.
Also, don't worry about looking "skinny". I thought 175 was going to be WAAAY too thin, but as I started building a little muscle and leaning out, I saw that I could lose plenty more to start looking more muscular, and lost another 13lbs beyond that.0 -
My first couple weeks i dropped twenty pounds and change. The last couple weeks it has really slowed down. I did have a lot farther to go than you. I think my body is still reeling from not having to carry around all the extra weight.....lol0

It will slow down. I started re-losing. In feb 2011 the 17th and have dropped 65#......too fast imo but it is what happened. I eat A LOT and have an active job. Once you get closer you will be able to guage better. Congrats on your success so far! Keep up the great work!0
