Sparkling/carbonated water

Tea and coffe don't count as part of the 8 glasses a day, so I'm told - it has to be water... But what about carbonated water?

i think carbonated water is fine, not as good as the pure thing, but it counts toward your total.

I think tea and coffee count too. Not counting those probably has to do with the idea that caffiene dehydrates you.

Yup, tea and coffee count towards your 8 cups of fluid a day.

That's great news - and even better that tea and coffee also count! :-D

    Thanks everyone!

I highly recommend a brand of sparkling flavored water called Sparkling Ice. I've found it only at Costco and Ralphs so far. Orange Mango, Pomegranate Berry and Lemon Lime all taste great, but the Black Raspberry is just awesome! :)

Tea and coffee absolutely count as water. So does carbonated water, juice, soda, beer, anything you drink, and also a lot of foods you eat. Besides, the "8 glasses a day" thing isn't even a scientific necessity, it was just an arbitrary number that a doctor threw out to his patient. The only studies that have mentioned it are studies that were done by the bottled water industry, in an effort to get people to buy more water.

You wouldn't count it towards hydrating your body, just because it makes you feel bloated?!

    /facepalm

I found these at Publix. Delishhhhh!!!!! and yes you are right the Black Raspberry is by far the best. I haven't tried Lemon Lime and they also have one called Pink Grapefruit(i think). that I have not tried. I don't drink these often but when I get tired of just plain water.

I count sparking water in my daily water intake (as I usually drink 3 cans per day) but I mostly drink the non-flavored non-sweetened kind (Kroger Sparking Seltzer).

I also like the La Croix brand but it's hard to find - they have non-sweetened flavors like lemon lime and cran-raspberry. Yum!
