Water, water, UGH, water?!

Ever struggled to get those ounces of water gulped down your throat?
We ALL have.
Sometimes, it's just total UGH!
A Coke, even a diet Coke, something carbonated, sugary, delicious as it snaps and fizzles down our throat... corroding our insides, sticking fatty cells to our core helping us lose the battle... But, in that moment, it seemed good, yet, it never ever is. Even the "diet" stuff is bad for us... ever hear of cancer being linked to fake sweeteners? I hate to be a debbie downer on your carbonation parade, but that path really isn't working for anyone.
SO
Let me give a bit of water zen for you to chew on:
Think of every ounce of water as you ingest it... think of it completely flushing your system of all those bad chemicals we get from yucky food... think of it breaking down the fat cells each time it washes over them... think of it cleansing your mind, body, and soul... think of it as your best friend, the thing that makes up over 80% of your body, the thing that you would die without... think of it as something ESSENTIAL to your weight loss journey and get excited over water! Water can help fill you up, so in those moment when you feel weak, water can be your strength. Change your outlook, change your life!
Drink as much water as you can and enjoy how choosing to do so will only help and encourage your body to shed the pounds you are so desperate to lose... otherwise, why else are you here?
We all want to be better, think better, do better, eat better, drink better, and we all can. It's just a matter of what we say "Yes" or "No" to.
Go fill up that glass and enjoy that refreshing water!
****If you like tea, iced tea is a fabulous way of getting that water into your system, as is lemon water, and they both aid weight loss!

Wow... lovely post...
I am feeling a bit like a fish today with all the water I am drinking :-P
but hey "cheers" to a flushed out system... great skin... and a healthy body :-)0 -
I hate water!
But from now on I WILL visualise is rinsing away chemicals and fat from my body!
Thanks for the perspective change!0 -
That's great, but water still tastes like, well, water. Like your idea of iced tea or lemon water though. I drink green tea, just to add a bit of taste. Horses for courses, I suppose.0

I actually don't have any problem w/ the water, but here is a tip for some. For Xmas this year, we received a water infusion pitcher. There is a plastic tube that slides into the pitcher - you fill the tube with sliced lemons, limes, oranges, cucumber, watermelon, mint leaves - whatever! Leave it in as you refill the pitcher & it infuses the water w/flavor. I have been doing lemon/lime/mint leaves all summer. Everyone loves it - I bought one for all 3 of my sisters, and they say their families are drinking more water too.0

Water is a big part of my diet, but at work the water has a bad taste to it.. So I started using Mio, and I am not a fan of the artificial sweeteners.. so instead of using a big squirt I use the tiniest of drops just to change the flavor.. helps a lot!0

Thanks I needed that...worst part for me is having to pee every 3 minutes... sheish!!0

I've been putting in no-calorie flavorings (Mio or Vitamin-enhanced Propel) in my water and it has made drinking the recommended amount of water bearable.0

I like your water zen. Personally, I love water. I drink at least 1/2 gallon a day for me and usually closer to 1 1/2 gallons. My body always lets me know if I didn't drink enough but unfortunately rewards me with frequent trips to the restroom.
Edit: I'm very interested with the infusion pitcher. Sounds like it could bring my enjoyment of water to a whole new level. Thanks.0 -
Think of the having to pee all the time as being a workout for your bladder and for your legs to take you to the bathroom! That's how I'm looking at it.0

Great ideas everyone! I love the infusion pitcher idea! Thank you, that will be helpful to so many people, I'm sure. You are all doing a fabulous job, so keep up the good work and encourage your friends to drink more water and to do their best today... we can all succeed with a little effort.0

What a wonderful post! I struggle to get down my water for the day. I usually end up with about 4 cups of just plain water. Any time I am having a hard time, I will have to come back and read your post!0
