I bought a 5 pound kettle bell. Does anyone know how to add this in the exercise part of MFP? Is anyone else doing the kettle bell?

I added it to my cardio. 5 minutes for 100 calories. I usually do 3 sets of 15 for that 5 minute duration. I use a body media and so I actually set the trip meter to determine how many calories I burned in that 5 minute period so it is accurate.0

That's a tricky one, MFP doesn't include 'newer' exercises like kettle bells, etc. Not knowing you I would say that you are probably going to be doing the 'ballistic' type training with the kb i.e. swings and snatches for it to be considered cardio. A good free source to find out about kettle bell training is www.kettlebellinc.com, they have a forum that you might be able to ask people who have more knowledge about it can help answer. Lisa Schaffer who I think is one of the owners is great, I worked out with her when I first started swinging the bells about 5 years ago.0

I've been doing a workout video that came with the kettle bell I purchased (Danskin, from Walmart). It's gives pointers in form, so I figured it was a good way to start. FitClick.com has several kettle bell exercises in their calorie calculator. I worry about the accuracy, though, so I just don't count the warm up or cool down exercises.0
