How about we condense it down to 2:
1. You're consuming more calories than you're burning.
2. Your fluid balance has changed due to an internal or external influence.

I had read some viewers were struggling with their weight..I just thought I'd post this. I hope it's helpful to some or all..
Weight can be a struggle...but isn't life itself a struggle at times? We have made it this far in life...we can win this "struggle" in losing weight.. Just thinking positive.. :flowerforyou: :drinker:0 -
But most likely, you're gaining weight because you laze about and eat crap.0 -
Uuuuuuuuugh!!! Four out of five. Well, I had read these kinds of things, before. Guess I just have to fight harder.0

Y'know, back when I was young and actually COULD lose weight just by eating less, I believed that. Then, I started gaining without changing my diet. I watched my mother, who is a NURSE, by trade struggling with weight while eating a healthy... 800-900 calories on most days. I took 2 years to lose 30 pounds while exercising 24 hours every week (4 hours per day, six days a week) on a strict 1100 calorie, closely-balanced diet.
The article was about people who eat healthily and in-control and exercise and STILL gain weight. No real need for generalized attacks on a group of people who are doing their best, is there?0 -

Well said and I agree! I have about 4-5 of those reasons going on in my life! I am eating healthy, eating my calorie allowance, and doing everything right while exercising 6 days a week and still gaining! So darn frustrating!0 -

I don't think either of you were eating enough will all the exercise you were doing, I think that's why it took you so long to lose the weight. JMO0 -

This. Underdoing it is as bad as overdoing it for your health. When eating too few calories and exercising all those hours a week, your energy level would plummet and your metabolism would be struggling to hold anything it could.0
