I agree. Talk to your doctor. I can get my heart rate up pretty high, but I had an EKG recently and was told the results were "textbook perfect and to continue doing what I've been doing because my heart loves it". So, I don't worry too much about how high it is - I go more by how I feel (am I overly winded? light headed? etc) than the numbers I see. But, I would definitely talk to your doctor.
  • Thanks I must ask! Maybe an EKG for piece of mind too'

    Sounds like a good idea!
  • Yes I'm going to have to stay at week 1 or 2 of the C25k

Yes talk to your Dr, but know that you are probably fine.

Keep working hard. It's good for you.

I have a heart condition as well... my cardiologist told me I was okay to exercise as long as my heart rate does not go over 200. However, I would recommend you still talk to your doctor about the issue.
