Critique my plan, please

I've been a little scattered with my fitness lately, but I'm ready to get more structured. I'd love some feedback.
I've started running some and really enjoy it. I did a 2 mile race last week and plan to do a 5k in a few weeks. I started with c25k but now I'm just doing my own thing, building on running more and walking less.
Goals: Improve running, lose 8-10 pounds
Fitness plan: Run/walk 3 miles, 3 days a week; Body pump class at gym 2-3 days week; maybe add some extra abs
Diet plan: Struggling here. I've had my goals set at 1ln a week loss, but some days that's been tough. May change to 1/2 pound a week but not eat all my exercise calories back if I don't need them.
Thoughts/advice/suggestions?

Got any recovery time planned?
Why wouldn't you eat your excersize calories? Kinda need them to build the running muscles, don't ya think?0
