Okay, so, I have no idea what the answer is to my question, but here it is: When your muscles are sore, do they retain water weight? Like, because I did a huuuge work out and my legs have been super sore, and I was wondering because I actually GAINED weight. Thanks.

You will gain a few lbs or stay at the same weight as your muscles are healing. They swell up a tad bit and everything when they are super sore. I hadn't thought of that and was stressing when I didn't see any loss, but people on here solved my confusion!0

Yeah after a strenous workout your muscle fibers get slightly damaged (but a good kind of damage because they become stronger after healing) and body fluids converge on the cells and fibers to repair them. So this will result in some water weight gain. In fact I even notice that my legs get fuller after a workout. I thought it was just my imagination..0
