Hypodermic needles (to the point that I have to actually be sedated to have an injection or blood test) and spiders.0

I have no phobias. I AM the original evil twin!0

My fears are of little puppies, chocolates, rainbows, unicorns, tacos made with fish, butter of a particular nut consistency and um... oh yeah, you.
Yup . . those are my fears.0 -

I am trying to figure out how sedation is exacted without a needle. Do they gas you?0 -

A pill. :indifferent:0 -
I think my biggest fear that I face all the time would be spiders. I can't kill 'em and I can't leave the room til I know they're dead. My husband probably gets sick of me asking him to kill them for me, lol.
My worst fear is not being able to save my daughter or my husband if they were in harms way. That terrifies me more than anything.0 -

Oh, hurr, that works. Can't say I have come across anything other than injectable sedation in my lifetime.0 -

Stuff in my veins. I just ... I can't deal.
When I go in to get one of my blood tests (cruel fate gave me pernicious anemia that the doctor wanted to monitor with regular blood tests) I am a crybaby every time and the nurse is always like 'Is it the needle or the blood that does it?' and I have to awkwardly tell her it's the thought of something in my veins. UGH even talking about it has me all creeped out.
I have to go with this as well. Except, the stuff in the veins is not as *shudders* eeeeeeekkkk as veins are for me.0 -
Spiders you say?0

Biggest fear, being on a boat that sinks and trying to figure out which one of my 4 kids to rescue.
I hate lollipop sticks made of wood... The thought of my tounge touching it gives me serious goosebumps. I always leave a rest so I don't have to touch it!0 -
0_0 Now THAT'S a spider.
My phobia?
Escalators.
I don't even know, guys. It's kind of with regular stairs, too, but escalators are FAR worse. STAIRS. SHOULDN'T. MOVE.
I'm the type of person who lets spiders live until they're on my bed and catches moths to put them back outside. I had a pet camel spider for several months in high school (but then he died). What I can't stand, though, is ladybugs. SERIOUSLY. I found one on my arm at work the other day and I just started flailing. I really don't know, guys. It's been like that since I was little.

My biggest fear of all...and I have many...is drowning, and no one finds my body and I'm left to rot and decompose.....
The fear that after I'm dead bugs and maggots swarming my body freaks me out! :sick:0 -
Spiders you say?
I kind of like spiders, but that is just wrong on so many levels.0 -

I'm going to go ahead and say that clusters are only second to stuff in my veins. Hnngh this made me want to barf and smoosh them all.0 -
It's spider season and they're coming into my house! I really loathe spiders. Fortunately my 17 yo DD is a spider killer so she protects me from the evil little spawn. She killed one in the bathroom this morning though and i've been paranoid all day. You should have seen me in there naked, shaking all the towels out before I'd use them! Nasty little creatures.0

bridges that are really high up or double-decker, like the Bay Bridge in SF...and sharks (thank you Discovery Channel: Shark Week...*kitten*...)0

I used to be afraid of heights and flying. On my first flight, about 12 years ago, I was pretty stressed, but my husband talked me thru it. The flight back home was okay. The third flight I was ready for a window seat and now I *love* to fly -- especially the take-off, 'cause I have a thing for going fast, and speeding down the runway, and the initial liftoff gives me a rush.
At some point, I realized that my entire fear of heights had vanished. I think falling in love with flying did it. We visited Arizona a couple weeks ago. At Grand Canyon, I stood on a rock ledge overlooking a steep crevice and instead of fear, all I could think was how freakin lucky the birds were that were swooping and gliding all through the valleys.
I'm afraid of total pitch dark. It makes me feel like something evil is creeping up on me.
I'm also afraid of swimming anywhere that I can't see the bottom. This was triggered by seeing the original "Jaws" movie at Myrtle Beach when I was 16. A few days later, I was in the ocean with my boyfriend and we were holding hands and "riding the swells." A big wave broke on us and knocked us apart, driving me underwater, and I thought I was gonna drown before I regained control. Scared me pretty bad, so I decided to head for shore -- I wasn't crazy about being out there at all, having just seen that movie. I made it to water about thigh-deep when some still unknown sea creature nipped me just above my heel. I totally lost it... I think I
peed... I was crying when I finally stumbled out of the water. That's the last time I've been more than ankle-deep in the ocean. And even though I practically grew up on the lake on my hometown, I haven't been swimming in one since that day -- I stick to nice clear pools!0 -
