5ft female.....thigh measurements?!....confused.

Hey there, I'm new to the site and wondered if any body (ideally petite ladies) could help.
I'm currently 134lb and I'd like to get down to 119, I got bullied when I was young and called thunder thighs and I've always had a hang up with the size of them....but something think they can't be that bad??!
They are 23inch at the thickest part....which I know is chunky........but what is everyone else's ideal? .....or current measurement.
Being small I find that any weight shows so much more!!

i can almost second your post. im 4'10 and was 147 at my heaviest and my thighs were 24.5 im 119 now and theyre 20 inches. ive always had chunky legs and people have always insulted them, i dont think ill ever get the 'ideal' legs i imagine but theyre not looking bad. my ideal would be 17/18 at the biggest bit.0

I'm 5'1, 140 pounds and my thighs are 21 inches so it's not far off from you. I don't have a goal set for total inches in particular areas, I'm just going until I feel satisified with the results.0

I'm 5'1, about 125 and my thighs are about 22.5" at their thickest part. I've always had a big butt and thighs so they are my trouble areas! However, since I've started working out I have gotten a lot more muscle there, too, which makes a difference in how they look in clothes and stuff0

Jillian michaels just came out with a new video called killer buns and thighs. Itried it and I def feel it! If it's anything like her other videos you should see results!0

I am 5'2" at 127, my goal weight is 122, and my thighs are 23 inches and as I lose weight I am using strength training to tone them.... So hopefully with the weight loss and weights they will get smaller and look toned....0

I'm 5'4.5, 135 lbs, and each thigh is 20 inches. I've always carried my weight in my stomach, though (an "apple" hourglass to a fault!).

The family curse is what they are called for me LOL Every woman in my family has "thunder thighs" and "breeders hips". I'm 5'2" and currently weigh 146.6. My thighs are 23.5" at the largest part (which is where you should be measuring them). I don't know what an ideal size for me would be since I've always had them. Personally, I just don't want them to rub together anymore, but I think that's a shot in the dark. The way I'm built, I hold a lot of muscle there. Always have. I think as long as they are tone and not flabby, the measurement doesn't matter much to me.0

well, dont worry about it anymore! Im 4'8", 110lbs, and my thighs are 20 inches. 23 sounds about right, but if it gives you a complex do walking lunges-nothing makes my legs feel better!0

wow, nice to see there are so many of us out there who look so similar. I'm 5'5", original weight 145, 24.5 inch thigh, now i'm 134, with 23 inch thigh. I've got biggish thighs and "breeder's hips" too.
I think my ideal thigh would be 20 inches or less0 -
I'm 4'11.5, 111 lbs and my thighs are 18.5 right now. When I was 104 lbs, my thighs were 17.8. I'm trying to get there again!!0

5'10, 126Ibs and thighs are 19" at the thickest point. They don't join so I am presuming they are not fat, lol.0

I have the same problem! 5' and half an inch tall with tummy and thighs as some of my trouble zones that I want to tone up (would also love to have toned triceps and abs too!). When I swam in high school my muscular legs looked pretty good, I just want to get close to that look, even though I doubt I'll ever weigh that again.0

Don't let the people who bullied you define the way you view your own body. 23" thighs is not that big anyway but even if they were big, big hips and thighs look great on women. There are different body types and they're all beautiful when you're fit and healthy. Just focus on being fit, strong and healthy, and let your thighs be the size they want to be.0

I think you don't need other people's validation.... if you're fit, strong and healthy then I'm sure you look great.... there are different body types, some women carry more weight in the thighs than others, and people's frame size varies too and that makes a difference, as does the shape of your muscles.... and all body types look great when fit, strong and healthy.0 -
I am 5'3 and have 23.5 inch thighs. I am strong and muscular and think it is ridiculous to compare your body composition to anyone else's. Run your own race, follow your own program, and love your own body, because it is functioning and healthy and it's the only one you're going to get.0
