Si i hava an ipod nano 5th gen and it has a pedometer. according to that ive been walking about 30,000 steps daily and burning 800 calories.
but yesterday i used a pdometer and it dosent count steps but it counts calories burned and it said i burned 1000 ish?
so which one is right? i started them at the same time also.

Probably neither is "right." They're both algorithmic estimations based on a LOT of assumptions that vary dramatically from person to person.
See, (for example): http://www.mensfitness.com/fitness/general-fitness/how-accurate-are-calorie-counters
If you are absolutely sure you want more accurate calorie counting, check out New Leaf. Get an estimate and then get something like the Garmin-compatible counting devices listed on NewLeaf's website.0 -
Sorry, but probably neither. A heart rate monitor would more accurately measure your calories burned. Although they have their issues, too. If that's not an option, I would always take the lower amount.0
