Ending of my second week on MyFitnessPal

Hi everyone, I've been meaning to get online and introduce myself, so here I am. My name is DeAnna, I'm 19 going on 20, and i currently weigh 253.4 pounds. 9/11/11 marked the start of my second week being a member on this site. The first week, I lost an amazing 2 pounds. Tomorrow, 9/18/11, will be the third week of my fitness/lifestyle change journey.
I have to say that I really really really love MyFitnessPal. I first downloaded the app onto my android phone and now I'm addicted to it. I really appreciate this site and because its free, I don't have to worry about fees and charges like I would if i had joined Weightwatchers or something like that.
So far my short term goal is to weigh between 240 and 245 by October 25. My long term goal is to weigh 140 by next October.
I hope to talk to people who are going through the same journey as I. And i hope that we can all be inspiration, influence, and guidance to each other.

    Welcome! This site is amazing as it has all the tools you need that you have to pay for on some/most other sites. The tools and the support are amazing :)

    Hi Deanna! I'm Trisha...been doing MFP for about 2-3 weeks consistently. I too downloaded the app on my Droid a month or so ago. I've lost two pounds so far, but I'm waiting until Monday to weigh myself again. (I had a couple of bad days this week!). I love how supportive and helpful everyone here is, and I find myself logging in several times a day (and ignoring facebook for the last few weeks!). Good luck on your weight loss journey!     I was your age when I started gaining weight after my first baby. I just never lost any, kept going up alittle at a time. Then I stayed at around 240 for many yrs. I thank the Lord for my dr who ordered my blood work, it makes me feel important. She really cared :smile:

    I got online to look how to bring my cholesterol down naturally; then I found MFP. I am hooked, the first week I lost 7 lbs. I can't wait to weigh-in Monday! I am having some eating issues today, we are having a rainy day here, not able to get outdoors like yesterday. I did clean house, so that helps alot! I should get back on track tomorrow!

    This is quite a journey which is awesome to have ppl to talk to, n to let those bottled up feelings out! Hope to talk to you anytime! I will be here for you, just be friend me! I will write you back anytime you write me!

    Glad you are on board....Keep up the good work! Our Lord is faithful and just to help those who seek Him with a whole heart. I love that scripture in Psalm where when we delight ourselves in the Lord, He shall give us the desires of our heart. We need the Lord, He is the Vine & we are the branches...

    What was working for me to keep up with MFP was eating healthy foods, enough water, walking, logging in my food diary & chatting with members.
