Hi all. I will begin tomorrow (really!) with this new approach. I can use all the help I can get (isn't that true for all of us, from time to time?) I'm a diabetic with optic neuritis--my left eye has a retina-optic nerve connection which is hemorrhaged and inflamed. Think of a corroded speaker wire. Instead of crackles and pops, I have dark, blurry vision (missing fields) in my left eye. And both eyes have baseline, tiny bits of retinopathy. Bottom line--I can't afford to mess with my health! So here's to the beginning of a new me--weight loss, blood sugar control, and loads of energy! Current weight: 267.2 lb. GOAL: 194, at roughly a pound a week. God, give me strength! Peace!--LEWIS

  • My mom has optic neuritis, so I kind of know what you're going through. Fluorescent lighting makes a 'strobe light' go off in her head, and bright days are tough.

    All the best!

This is an amazing site and I feel so lucky a co-worker of mine led me to it. I have tried everything under the sun (thyroid problem) and this is working for me. I am doing the 1 pound a week and so far - 3 weeks and 3 pounds so I am very happy. I feel confident that this site will work for you too. With the way it is set up, you don't have to completely deprive yourself as long as you keep the bottom line in tack. Good Luck and you can add me as a friend if you like.
