Any suggestions for a healthy workday lunch when no fridge or microwave will be available?

  • I like to make chicken salads. All you need is a lunch box and a cold pack and your good to go. I just pack everything up and mix during the day.

Sandwiches, soup in a thermos keeps, salad, wraps, Tuna and crackers. You can do a lot!
  • Bring a lunch box with a freezer ice thing in it. That way you can pack anything that needs to be cold.
  • i buy ready cooked Egg Noodles (in a variety of thickness) and then I add meat and canned tomatoes or salad etc

you can heat it up but it tastes just as good cold and i always find noodles really filling!

soup is also a good idea if you take a thermos flask to keep it hot in - i often add meat to mine and take rice cakes or a slice of bread

    hope this helps!

I'd vote for getting a lunch box with freezable pack and a thermos, too, but if you're talking just about one day out in the field somewhere or something, you can get the lunch packs of tuna, etc. that come with a mini tin of tuna and a packet of crackers. I think they have these in chicken as well. Can't remember if they have a little packet of mayo, too, or not. Take along some raw veggies, too. They can go half a day easily without wilting. PB sandwich on whole wheat would be healthy.
