Get a Polar FT4 or higher. I have the FT7, mine was $100 but you can find them cheaper online. Best brand on the market!

I use a Polar monitor with Noom on my Android. Noom/Cardio Trainer is free and the monitor was $60 at Amazon.

I love my New Balance N4 which I bought at Target for $60. It seems to be very accurate and it does come with a chest strap which is very comfortable by the way.

I have a polar f4... ebay - complete ship 29 it also has a chest strap my work outs have not been the same!!!! I work harder and I eat my calories - but I feel confident!!!!
  • I bought the cheap brand that walmart sells (sportline ?) and after using it once I immediately took it back and got a refund. It is almost impossible to use while riding a bicycle or hiking because of all the buttons you have to push just to get to the page that you want ...and once you get there it onlys stays there for 30 seconds. What's the sense in having something to monitor your heart rate while exercising but having to stop your activity look at it ?..........For now I'm only using the runkeeper APP on my Android till I find something that suits my needs
