Hi,

Im Bec, Im new to this. This has been so helpful in the breakdowns in letting me know where Im really going wrong. Too many carbs, fat and sugar and not enough protein, i think I need to take an iron and calcium supplememnt too by the looks of things. I have to say sugar and comfort food (chocolates, sweets etc) is an addiction, I beat it once before but its harder this time as Im home all day with children. How do you overcome that without remving it all from your house, my partner and child dont need to kick the habit, Im just not strong enough. Any tips? I honestly think its boredom but dont really know what to do to stop myself reaching into the fridge for a chocolate biscuit.

I have 2 young children, one is 4 and the other just 6 weeks old. Before having my last child I had gotten down to 65kg (not sure what that is in pounds) after weighing at my largest after my first pregnancy of 104kg. I was doing boot camp twice a week and really loving it. I know Ive just had a baby but my self esteem in relation to my body image is really low, Im missing my body and my fitness.

I have started walking to try and get me in shape a little before I go back to boot camp but am going to just bite the bullet and go back, i think it will be better for me.

I do so well during the day with food and have been walking 3-4 times a week and I set myself a goal to do 6km in under an hour, I did that yesterday. It felt good to push myself and I felt that old adrenaline rush from when I was doing boot camp before. I now have a goal to beat that time by at least 5 minutes within 2 weeks. Goals with exercise is much easier to set and control than food.

    Hi, I'm from Melbourne.

Do your child and husband really need chocolate biscuits? I don't think so. I can't bring them in the house or they get eaten, by me! If you want to treat them make some healthy muffins or protein bars. I just don't buy the things I don't want to have and my children just have to cop it.

I know how hard it is when you are home with children, but if you make a plan it is easier not to pick at things that are there. Decide ahead of time what you are going to eat.

Great start with the walking, you should just suck it up and go back to boot camp.

I dont think so either, Im in the same boat. I like berry muffins and so does my child so I think that is a good idea! Thank you! Probably better in the long run for my kids to not have them in the house. After all if they dont know about it then they wont be drawn to them right.

I have been using the recipe section and planning ahead of time but I still manage to sneak them in. More willpower I think. And healthier options like you say.

I have spoken to the boot camp instructor and am going to see him tomorrow and will be starting later this week.

How long have you been using this site and has it helped you reach your goals?
