What's Your "Thang"?

Everybody has a "thang"! Maybe it's something your known for, maybe it's some ritual you do every day.

My thang is I have to smell good! I can leave the house without a lot of things, but if I'm not wearing perfume, I feel naked! Out of the shower, gotta use the scented lotion! There is nothing "unscented" in my house! :-) I don't swim in it, uck, but I like it just enough so when I walk by you, you notice! (And hopefully like it!) )

So... what's your "thang"?

hmmmm i don't know if i have a thang! I don't like socks... i wear them when i am wearing shoes other wise i go barefooted. does that count?!

My thang is cute shoes. I know many women love shoes, but I ALWAYS have cute shoes. For example, in addition to cute sandals and dressy shoes, I also have a wide collection of flip-flops and sneakers. In fact, every friday at my school the teachers can dress down provided we wear something school spirited, so it's usually jeans and a school t-shirt or hoodie. My students always love to see which pair of sneakers I will wear. When they come into class they comment "I was hoping you'd wear the pink snakeskin" or "those plaid ones work great with those jeans"--you get the idea.

I'm going to have to think about this question some more, but one of my thangs is that I am an obsessive sucker for solving problems. For example, a couple of days ago I found a disc with some MP3s on it (must have belonged to an old roommate or something). It was an unmarked compilation with no data, just the tracks. There was a song that I really liked, but had never heard before, and the group/sound was completely unfamiliar to me. I tried to google the lyrics, and use lyric sites, etc. using even the most abstract phrases that wouldn't be in other songs, etc. and couldn't find anything. Several times over the next day and a half it became my mission to conquer this puzzle, and finally I did; partly because I wanted to know, and partly because I just couldn't let it go. Things like this provoke me as if it were some kind of intellectual porno or something. The challenge just consumes me.

I like to be clean. I take 3-4 showers a day and I anger those in the household for hogging the bathroom ;P

My CD collection. It has to be in alphabetical order or so help me I will... fix it. I've got around 500 CDs so the odd couple get mixed up from time to time but I'll get them eventually.

Mine would be cardigans. I don't care if it 90 degrees or 50, when you see me I am either wearing or carrying one.

my thing is organization...EVERYTHING has it's place, recipes separated per type of food in a binder, future vacay plans separated out in a binder, pics, CDs, dishes,...it's all gotta have a place....i think this is better known as OCD!! LOL

So my 'Thang' these days is my dry sense of humour and my laugh.. which people find funny enough to laugh with me.. in a nice way! Other than that it'd be my family (hubby and kids) who are my world.
