i really wanna gonna a tattoo soon. something that is meaningful or insprational but not played out. i have a few ideas but want more
here is the ones i have so far

-live by faith not by sight
-if you can dream it you can achieve it
-keep moving forward
-live well laugh often love much

    My tattoo reads, "Timshel." Translated, it means "thou mayest" which means that a man's greatness is up to him and him alone. I read the book East of Eden after I graduated high school, and I suppose it stuck with me. Do you have something, a quote from a book or a poem, that you can explicate and create your own meaning from it? It's best to take something from your own personal experience and make it yours. It makes getting the tattoo ten times better. It's just from my experience though.

    Mine isn't a quote, it is one word. It is the greek word aletheia which means truth. I got it because it sums up my faith as a Christian and because Jesus said He is truth.

    The quote I have posted here is the one I have on me, but it's worked into another tattoo I have so it's very flowy and not so block-lettered and awkward :)

    my mate has 'living the dream' tattooed on her arm.
    another mate has 'don't walk on the grass' tattoed just above her lady garden, and has dyed her lady garden green.
    what's important to you? what will still be important to you in 10, 20 or 30 years time?

    i want to get both of my sons initials on both sides of my shoulders ( 1 on each side ), and maybe the leo symbol on my neck

    There are several that I want...an no...I won't share, lol. Get something that has deep meaning to you...no one else. It won't be special if there is no meaning involved.

    Yeah, it needs to be timeless for you. Unless you don't mind having something that might not always mean something to you.

    I searched for a while before coming up with mine.
    It's Latin for "She Flies With Her Own Wings" on the top of my foot.
    When I saw it I just knew it was for me :)
