Ab ripper x and hip bone issue

So I tried ab ripper x and the one exercise where you lay on your side and lift leg and upper body to work obliques is an issue for me. For some reason laying like that on the floor hurts my hip on that side the whole time during the exercise. It's what i get for having no more padding on my hips!
Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem or a possible solution? I'm thinking of laying a folded towel down for those exercises for each side but haven't tried it yet.

i cant do ab ripper because my hips like click, grind, whatever u wanna call it. ive been told its because i have a tilted pelvis. ? nothing i can do for it though. not sure if this is what u have going on or not. but i just find other ways to make up for the missed exercise0

Do not feel bad! I have issues doing 'crunchy frog' because my butt is gone! I have no padding on my tail bone...I have to have a pillow below me while doing it. Maybe you should also try a pillow.0

Yes, I have the same issue. Do you have a yoga mat? I double or even triple fold it where my hip hits the floor. It really makes a difference.0

Lol. I have an almost 8 year old...but she didn't cause me any issues, lol. I have a very narrow pelvis...they thought I'd have to have a C-section. I do have issues with my right hip however...possible stress fracture that never seems to heal. I'l run 4-5 miles and it'll start throbbing. One reason I like p90x is that my joints don't usually bother me while doing it.0 -
I had the yoga mat completely out, but folded may help! thanks for the ideas! I couldn't even get to the 2nd rep because it felt like my hip bone was digging into the floor. I like having less padding all over but it's not pleasant when you need a bit of padding.
I've lost a lot of extra butt padding and now when our storm door hits me in the butt as i'm unlocking our main door I have to prepare myself for it because i feel it that much more since dropping weight!0
