2 things;
1. Someone has seen a thread they want to read but don't have time. The bump allows them to check their My Topics page to basically bookmark the page to check on it later.
2. An old thread has been lost in the ether due to the multitude of threads started every second. A bump will move the thread to the top of the pile so that it becomes relevant again.
No, actually it is 3 things;
Someone has a bump and should go to a doctor instead of stating it randomly on an internet forum.0 -
