Just wondering if anyone else feels this way. I gave up soda 6/2011 and since then I have had 1 diet pepsi and a sip here and there of Hubby's diet pepsi if we are driving and my water is empty. The bubbles now burn my throat and I feel sick to my stomach after I drink it. Not a fan of soda anymore and now I drink water or an occasional glass of iced tea (unsweetened) when we go out to dinner.

Yes. Defintely. The less I have it, the less I want it. And when I do crave it and cave in, it is usually yucky.

    yep. happened to me.

i also discovered that if you drink soda after having a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, the bubbles will come out of your nose.

    true story.

Yeah...I can't say I find it yucky, but the carbonation tickles a lot more than it used to!

I gave up soda years ago and yes I now don't really care for any carbonated beverages. I drink mostly tea now.

I gave up soft drink about two months ago - previous to that I could drink up to two litres of Coke Zero a day! It wasn't even the caffeine I was addicted to, because normal coke and diet coke wouldn't do it, it was the sweetener!

I have a soft drink every now and again, I REALLY don't like water! When I do get a soft drink, the bubbles bother me at first, they are irritating and taste awful, but it only takes two mouthfuls for my addiction to cut back in and I'm craving it for days afterwards!

I know how you feel. I was never a big soda drinker but did drink it on occasion. Once I started working out I stopped drinking soda completely. I tried it a few months back and I literally felt sick to my stomach. Not sure how people drink that stuff all day every day

That's my basic feeling, too. I will crave it, then I'm always disappointed if I give in and have some--and almost always pay with swollen ankles and lower legs the next day, too.
