HELP!
I have been on MFP for one month and have been doing really well with documenting everything I eat, eating better, and exercising. YET I have somehow GAINED two pounds! And no, I have not been lifting weights, so it can't be muscle!
Please help! What am I doing wrong?!

You don't track water, so that would be my first assumption.0

Not to get personal but women have a little something extra they have to deal with every month. It's possible you will lose for 3 weeks and gain for 1 week. I know many women who experience this. They always more than make up for it the following week.0

Your profile says you joined in Sep 2011 so that's less than 3 weeks. Depending on how much you have to lose it might take longer than that to begin losing. I was eating healthy and doing Zumba 60 min 6 days a week and it still took me more than 3 weeks to see any results, but once I started losing I lost a stead 1 - 1.5 a week until I'd dropped 20 lbs. It's possible for your weight to fluctuate by 2 - 3 lbs at any time for various reasons. I wouldn't worry about it unless you continue to gain.0

I am having the same issue, so I'm trying different things to see what my body is reacting to. For me, it has a LOT to do with my water intake. I can feel the difference between when I do drink what I should, and when I don't. Sodium is an issue for a lot of women too. Right now I'm zig-zagging my calories hoping I can jump start the weight loss again.
Another thing people will probably will mention are your measurements. You might be going up in weight, but you also may be losing the inches around your waist or hips. They are a more accurate measurement of your progress, not so much the number on the scale. Don't let that number dictate your progress0
