Although it's always great to have a 'live' chat and keep the threads fresh with more current information, another useful tool is the search function. Many of the more common topics have been discussed in previous threads and there is a lot of useful information that can be found regarding the most asked topics -

1) period weight gain
2) can I eat my earned calories
3) daily weight fluctuations on the scale

I've found a lot of useful information regarding recipes, HRM's, exercise DVD's ,ect just utilizing the search function. Again....live threads are great for motivation and support or to just commiserate with someone having the same issues. But arming yourself with knowledge and information via a little bit of googling and searching is empowering!!

The search function...she's your friend!!!

Sadly, there is not enough common sense in the world for people to utilize this...

Unfortunately...some of us veterans on MFP get SO burned out of seeing the same repetitious questions being asked. And....quite frankly I am shocked by the number of women that are just baffled about period weight gain!! Isn't it a known fact?! Haven't we experienced it since ...like the beginning of time. Now.....like I said, I don't mind commiserating with women about it. Like...hey doesn't it suck when we get our period and we get all bloated and gain a few pounds. YEA, I totally relate to that. But then our periods go away in a few days and we're back to being normal again. I not sure why all the questions surrounding this age old process, like it was some new mysterious ailment that has just begun effecting women.
