Getting frustrated...

Hello all,

Looking for some advice. Basically, I've been working out for three weeks (4-5 days a week, 300-1000 calories burned per session, doing cardio every workout and weights 2-3 days a week) and using the food log to keep on track with my caloric intake. However, I haven't lost any weight and my inches lost is minimal. In the past, I've lost 30 lbs on Weight Watchers, but plateaued after a year and the weight slowly crept back on because of my frustration with the plateau (and the fact that I entered a committed relationship  ). I don't want to fall off the wagon again.

Any tips?

Getting discouraged :grumble: ,

Laura

Make sure you're eating enough. From reading a lot of posts, I've learned that some people lose more weight at 1460 calories than they do at 1200. You may be burning more calories than you realize... and if you're not eating enough, your body may have slipped into starvation mode.... and is trying its hardest to hold onto its fat stores.

    Good luck, Lady!

I'm feeling the same way this morning after weighing for the week. My first week I lost 3.5 pounds and then nothing this week. I looked back through my diary and found that I was under my calorie goal several times, with my net calories around 1200-1300. I'm realizing that I have to make myself eat more even though it goes against everything that they seem to throw at us in the media.

first of all, awesome sounding workouts! Now, i did a strictly cardio based program and didnt see results for about 4-5 weeks, and they were minimal.by week 7-8 they really picked up and inches fell off. If you truly feel like what you are doing just isnt working i would change it up. I found when i started lifting weight and doing cardio daily, i quit getting results. My diet had to change completely to keep up. Double check your eating and see if tweaking it a bit helps.
