Oat Granola?

Options
Hi,
I usually have Quaker oat granola for breakfast and it's usually a big bowl as I use alot of energy in the day.
But it's really high calorie and sugar.
Does anyone know a different brand that's lower calorie and sugar?
Preferably that can be bought from Tesco in UK.

Thanks! :)

I was just going to post if anyone knew any recipes for using oatmeal, even to make healthy bars! Oatmeal is a must in my diet and I'm looking for a way to enjoy old fashioned :) Hope that helps!

In the US, Quaker does sell low sugar varieties - but I'm quessing you can't get that in the UK.

I haven't found a lower fat/lower sugar granola that was significantly low enough to make it worth buying it instead of the regular (my own opinion, of course). Maybe just make room in your day's calories for it? Or make it something to eat less often? I warm it up (so it's like oatmeal) and it takes longer to eat that way - makes the experience last longer. :)

I found this brand in the US that is lower in sugar http://chappaquacrunchgranola.com/ and it is available on Amazon. Don't know if they would ship to the UK though.

I make homemade lowfat granola using applesauce. Here is the recipe

I also make this into homemade granola bars for my kids using this recipe

I have used a combo of dried apples, cinnamon and raw walnuts to make one kind of bars and dark chocolate chips, dried cherries, and raw almonds for another kind. I plan on trying using coconut, dried pineapple, dried mango and some type of raw nut as a mix in in the batch I make this week!
