So If figure I will start throwing some exercise in the mix. Went to the basement and wiped the inches of dust off of my stationary bike. Got on and could only do 5 minutes:noway: I am so ashamed. I burned a total of 54 calories. How pathetic is that? I am so disappointed and discouraged.:frown: :frown:

I sure hope so. If you could have seen me on that thing. I was huffing and puffing and sweating. You would think I was giving birth again.:laugh:0 -
 Great Job!!! As a healthcare professional I would like to say that you got on and did what you could. Exercising some everyday is goal(at least 5 days a week), even if it is only 5 minutes every day. You can increase your time over the weeks, just get on the bike everyday and do your best! You will get there!

but you actually got on the bike and DID it - that in itself is an accomplishment!! good for you! the most i can muster right now is watching people exercising on TV. now that's pathetic!!! you are off to a great start!0

Great job! You did the single hardest thing with working out, getting to the workout! Every minute counts and is that much better than not doing it. Be proud you did 5 minutes and got your heart pumping.. maybe tomorrow night or in a few nights you can do 6 or 7 minutes.. don't try to overdue it rather be proud of the accomplishments you make, even if it is only 5 minutes!!
Keep up the good work!

54 calories is a lot! And if you do it 5 times a week that is 250 calories. Every little bit adds up!0

You have to start somewhere! And starting is such a big step. You should be proud! I was sooo out of shape when I started really exercising. I hated doing cardio. Only a few minutes of it and my lungs burned so much I felt they would just explode. But I slowly tried more and more and now I can do 20 to 30 minutes of step aerobics. I never thought I would even attempt step aerobics, but here I am, actually enjoying it! Really, the more you do, the better it gets. Don't expect to run a marathon your first try, just do what you can and see yourself improve! :flowerforyou:0
