Can anyone recommend any weigh-loss type shows they like? (I've already seen quite a few, but I find them encouraging, and would like to know of more that I may not have heard of).
These are the ones I've seen
The Biggest Loser - http://www.nbc.com/the-biggest-loser/episode-guide/season-11/226716/
I used to be Fat - http://www.mtv.com/shows/i_used_to_be_fat/video.jhtml?filter=fulleps
Heavy - http://www.aetv.com/heavy/ (waiting for the next season to come out on Netflix lol)
Extreme Makeover - weigh loss - http://abc.go.com/shows/extreme-makeover-weight-loss-edition/index
Ruby - (Saw most of this on netflix, but can't find the other seasons anywhere ... It was a good show - http://www.mystyle.com/mystyle/shows/ruby/)
Addicted to food - http://www.oprah.com/own-addicted-to-food/Addicted-to-Food-About-the-Show (almost all the shows are online)

There was a supersize vs superskinny show on in England and now it's on here too on OWN sometimes, but it's not just about weight loss, you have one person that needs to lose and another that needs to gain, it's pretty interesting.
When I lived in England there was a show on with a lady named Gillian McKeith; LOVED it. Maybe you can find out more on a google search; netflix might have it but I haven't seen it on much here in the states, but while I lived over there several of my friends here in the US had said they had seen some of it. I think it's called "You are what you eat".0 -
Losing it with Jillian - was good but think it only had 1 season.0

I liked "supersize VS superskinny "
I also love "eat yourself Skinny" with Jillian (can't remember the last name but another poster commented on another show of hers)
I also like "last 10 pounds". Tommy is an awesome personal trainer.
Oh and I used to watch "Ruby", it was a reality show following the weightloss of Ruby Gettinger. Its really inspiring.
Even if you can't find these shows, you might be able to find stuff through youtube.
EDIT: Its Gillian McKeith. She does lots of super awesome stuff.0 -
I used to watch a show called Fitness Beach. I haven't seen it in a while. Try looking fro it0

I just watched a few episodes of Heavy on Netflix. I don't think it's on still, but it was on A&E. I liked it because it covered their whole transformation in the hour, but I didn't like how the last few episodes had them at a weight loss "ranch" for the entire show. Of course people could change that fast if they had someone cooking for them and no work to do...I'd look amazing if someone did that for me.
All in all though, it's a good show to watch to pass the time...0 -

That's how I feel about a lot of shows that the people go off for 6 months +.... If I could go on a "fitness vacation" for 6 months, I'd come back buff and fit. lol No job, no kids...see this is where the vacation part comes in. lol
I used to be fat on MTV was actually nice. Granted they were kids (seniors) so they had a lot more time than some adults, but at least they trained and lost the weigh while still having to deal with life.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions so far! I'll try googling those lol (google knows all! :drinker: )0

I really enjoyed that show too... really think they need an adult version as well though. Maybe even a mommy version. :-)0
