Yesterday at Bikram I had some really great improvement, and it was my 50th birthday. In the standing series when they say put your forehead on your knee, I did! Later when we had our feet wide with our hands under our heels and she said now put your forehead on the floor, I nearly did, in fact my fringe made it to the floor, I was gobsmacked. When I first started in January I thought it was hysterical when she said put your forehead on the ground and I nearly can!!!
In the floor series I can have my feet out and hold onto them, pull my toes towards me and put my forehead to my knee with my knees straight. I am officially flexible!!! I started yoga because when I had a Bioage done I was really inflexible, now I've turned it around.
This is a reminder that you try and try and try. Sometimes it seems like there is no progress, but you only fail by giving up. Keep going and don't lose focus on what you want, because one day, like I did yesterday, you'll say gee, I've really achieved something.
Oh and to add to my joy, got on the scales yesterday and I'm now 1/2 way to my goal weight, yay me!

That is so awesome. Thank you for sharing! I loved doing yoga long ago, and I've been wanting to ease back into it. Flexibility is so very important.0

That is seriously amazing. I always hated the standing series, but it's where I always saw the most change. During the half moon pose, I can almost reach the floor! On the first day, I could barely lean back!
