Get yourself a wok. Use olive oil. Heat up 1 Tbsp of oil. Start by cooking your cubed meat/tofu and onions/garlic slices. When done push up on side of wok. Add chopped veggies, putting those that take longer to cook in first, then adding those that take less time. Add 1/4-1/2 cup of water. Cover, steam remaining veggies. Add 1 Tbsp of Chinese Sauce (use different flavors) to the mix. If you need to thicken, mix in 1 Tbsp cornstarch with half a cup of water. Add to veggies and mix. Serve over 1 cup of brown rice.
The beauty of this method of cooking is that you are cooking only what is going to be on your plate, and it is real quick to prepare. The longest time is in washing and cutting your veggies into bite-sized pieces. Hard veggies like carrots will cook quickly if sliced thin. You can cook your brown rice in advance so all you have to do is warm it up in the microwave. And your meals vary every night because you never eat the same thing in the same combination.0
