Candy Corn--The Devil.

I recently acquired some candy corn my boyfriend's Grandmother dumped on us when visiting this last weekend. I LOVE candy corn! I noticed since having it available in the pantry I find myself thinking about it all too often through out the day and then after dinner I end up eating one serving. Yeah, it's better that I count it out and then record it BUT I really would rather NOT have it! I know, the easy solution is just to throw it away but my boyfriend wouldn't be happy with me considering he hates "wasting" food. It also doesn't help that it's 'that time of the month' right now so naturally my sweet tooth button is turned on. The last few days, looking back at my diary, I feel like I've had a sugar fest (not that I've been pigging out on candy, just more sugar in my diet than there needs to be).
Anyone have suggestions as to how I can avoid the sugar craving? Btw as a heads up, fruits don't kill the craving for me.

Throw it out. Look at it this way. It's better that it go to waste than that it go to waist.
And as for the sugar craving, try supplementing with Chromium Picolinate.0 -
YIKES . . candy corn. It is the devil!! LOL0

I love candy corn also. But those damn mellow cream pumpkins... Those things were made by the devil. I have it under control. I usually eat two bags every year. Two bags close to halloween and I'm good for the rest of the year.0

Why not allow the calories into your day? Walk a little longer or something, but enjoy your treat!0

I was reading a blog the other day by a girl who is a runner and likes to eat healthy. She said her husband loves junk food, so they have separate cabinets in the kitchen. He can keep all his junk food, and she knows it's "off limits." (I'm sure he would give her some, but then she'd have to go through the process of asking instead of just grabbing it from her stuff.) I live alone, so it wouldn't work for me, but it could work for you with those darn candy corns!!0

I'm in the UK...we don't have anything called that AFAIK.

What exactly is it? Nuts? chewy?0 -
Having the same problem here. Bought it Saturday when we were at Target. I just eat a cpl pieces at a time..but now you have made me want some more:(:devil:0

I love candy corn. I avoid it because I worry about eating myself into a sugar-induced stupor. When I have food like that in the house, I either bring it to work to share, or send it to work with the hubs.0

I love Candy Corn.....I have to leave the room when someone has it in their office at work... It's hard to eat just one piece... I like the pumpkins too!0

What exactly is it? Nuts? chewy? What is Candy Corn?:noway: It's somewhat shaped like a corn kernel if you stretch your imagination. You can Google it if you'd like to see a photo of what everyone is sharing about.
Ingredients:
"sugar, corn syrup, beeswax, artificial colors, salt, flavors and soy protein as candy corn ingredients. Some others use sugar, corn syrup, egg whites, mineral oil, carnauba wax, honey-glycerin, artificial colors and flavors and confectioner's glaze."
Candy corn is a sweet replicate of dried corn kernels. It's considered a "mellow cream," a name for a type of candy made from corn syrup and sugar that has a marshmallow-like flavor. Although candy corn tastes rich, it's actually fat-free.

I want to eat them, work them into your day.
If you don't want to, then just don't eat them.0 -
Is the texture like Skittles then?0

Why not allow the calories into your day? Walk a little longer or something, but enjoy your treat!
This IS the only way...besides cutting back or cutting out.
I'd take the extra walk!0 -

Nope, Skittles are way better.0 -
I can take or leave the other candies in the harvest mix but candy corn...that's my weakness.
The only way I can avoid it is to just not buy it. Luckily no one has gotten any for their desks at work.
They have a new caramel apple flavour that is horrifically addicting.0 -
