Hi everyone, I just went yesterday to get blood work done and will have an appt on 9/26 but I wanted to know what you guys think. I have had extreme fatigue for the last several weeks and I have had bruises pop up everyday without even hitting those areas. I have also had spotting at least 5 days a week since April. I am on the BC shot and it can change things up but for the most part it has stopped my periods completely since being on it up until April. I was working out 6-7 days a week for the longest and now I can barely get through a short workout. I have been working out about every other day bc the days I don't workout I am so tired from the previous day. I was thinking it was anemia but not sure. Any ideas would be helpful. Before I go to the doctor I would like to know of possible reasons for my symptoms. Thanks for your help!

I think you need to wait for the results from your doctor. Anything anyone says here would just be mere speculation. You are doing right to see a doctor for all those symptoms.

Anemia is the first thing Id have thought of too. WHo knows tho..... are you pale too? my 14 y/o son was pale and tired and when the doc did bloodwork he was anemic. They put him on a daily low dose of over the counter iron (super cheap too) and he's doing great now. Hopefully it's that. As for the other symptoms I dont know tho. Hope you feel better soon and congrats on all the weight you've lost and your determination to work out!!

Sounds like anemia to me. I have similar challenges when my iron levels drop. When I start to feel groggy, I focus on eating fish and dark green leafy veggies. Both are helpful fora low iron level. Liver is good too... and if I get too tired, I resort to that as well. :-)
