Maggie Goes On A Diet

Has anyone heard of this book? It's about a 14 year old girl who goes on a diet and transforms herself from an overweight insecure girl to normal size girl who gains confidence.
I'm unsure how I feel about it.... Look it up, I would love to hear everyone's opinions!

Sounds like a nice book. There are a lot of "Maggies" on this site as well. It's very inspiring to see the transformations.
Edit to clarify: I wasn't referring to 14 yr olds per se; but rather people who have transformed from overweight to fit and confident. Check out the "Success Stories" forum... WOW!0 -
I dislike the term diet in general but a 14 year old SHOULD NEVER (unless there are any medical issues) go on a diet. She should learn a healthy lifestyle.
Haven't read the book but that's my initial feedback0 -
Male author shaming vulnerable female teens about their weight, telling them they're not normal and not pretty. Because we have to squash any idea of being comfortable with your body early and get those eating disorders started young.
We have to focus on being thin and pretty, not healthy, amirite?0
