Almost two years ago, I went a huge fitness kick and pushed myself to my limit, resulting in injuries that needed to be nursed. I was doing really well up to the point. A little over 20lbs down in 1.5 months.. woot woot. After my many trips to my Orthopedic doctor, he told me to take it easy. Well taking it easy turned into no physical activity and putting back on the weight that I had originally lost. Once I get back into the swing of regular exercise I won't have any issues on that end. My only HUGE MASSIVE problem is that I LOVE FOOD. It's not just one particular kind either, I love all types of food. Now, I'm not a glutton until it comes to most holiday dinners, I just enjoy food and I like to savor every bite!!

So I'm here to start off this journey in a slightly different method. Like I mentioned in my personal blog (http://mindlesslysmart.wordpress.com/), this time instead of jumping into the pool of ice cold water, I'm going to get in one toe at a time. I will be registering for my very first 5k, which will take place 12/03/11. I'm super excited and nervous all at the same time. I have a little over 2 months to go from couch potato to a 5ker. I decided that if I can set little goals along the reaching by bigger goal of losing 50-60lbs won't be so daunting.
