so if you were to have a nibble....maybe a taste of cookie dough....a chip or two.....a cracker....taste of cake...whatever it may be.How many calories would you count it as, 25, 35, 50? Just asking

  • Depends on the food - a nibble on a cherry tomato is much different than a nibble on ice cream. I'll usually calculate it down to the tablespoon.

I've really had to force myself not to do this anymore, especially when I'm preparing meals and it's so easy to taste test, but when I had days where I did it a lot, I would quick add 75-100 calories, depending on what it was and how much I nibbled lol!
  • i dont bother with calculating it. i just always make sure i am under my calorie goal to cover the little things that i might have missed. i just dont have little nibbles all day.

I don't want to count every single calorie every day for the rest of my life. I have learned not to nibble as much but also not to stress over tiny little things.

I don't really count it (unless I know it's really high calories just for a small amount). And I know at the end of the day my calorie count isn't exactly 100% accurate (I don't weigh my food, so it's probably not anyway!)

There are a few times my son will feed me a godfish cracker or a teddy graham.. sorry.. i refuse to log 1 cracker...lol I also take a sip of his juice when we are out to eat (too many stories about toddlers being given alcohol). won't log a teaspoon of juice.. This may happen once or twice a week... If you do it several times a day just do a quick add calorie at the end of the day :)
