do you have one? is it an upright or a chest? where do you store it?

The last house I lived in had both a deep freeze (chest style) and a spare fridge/freezer combo in the garage (roommate brewed beer, needed the extra fridge space). Now I miss them terribly, I'm looking around for either to tuck down in my basement, in the extra food storage room (we shop at costco a good bit). I think I'd be happy with just a chest freezer, but hubby wants space for his beer, and it would be awfully nice to have more fridge space.

We have an upright one. It used to be in our garage, but we moved it across town to my mother in laws garage. I live in a teeny tiny town, and when I saw across town it is only 2 min away depending on how much traffic is at the 4 way stop =]]

We used to have one, it was a standup, and we kept it in the garage. I used to buy meat/cheese in bulk, divide it up and store it in the extra freezer. We got rid of the freezer when we stopped eating so much meat and no longer bought such large quantities at one time.

I have a chest freezer in my garage. I think I like the upright style better like I had before but the chest freezer was alot cheaper and it works good. I love having the extra freezer space ......
