I like well-bred and well-behaved dogs of any size. I grew up with miniature ( 15 lbs or so) poodles and really adore them. (Really love the lack of shedding.) But I also loved my uncle's doberman. Baby was huge (90 lbs of lean muscle) and amazing. So, really any smart dog that listens to their owner is good in my book.0
-
Large. Dobermans are my favorite. They are just so beautifully put together!!0

I love all dogs, but I'm a small dog person.....Buffy the Vampire Slayer: 12 pound dachshund. Small dogs are so convenient - she can fit under the seat on an airplane, I can sneak her into hotels in a tote bag, she fits in the cubby hole under the console on our boat (although she does somehow manage to take over the whole bed). And as someone else mentioned: small dogs make small poop! She can't run long distances, but she can hike forever.0

1 Black Lab
1 Dachshund
1 Yorkie
Does not really matter to me. I love all dogs sizes.0 -
I love all dogs, but I've always had small/medium-ish pups. My schnoodles are 24 and 27 lb, and they are perfect!0
-
cat person overall but I love boxers....and have owned a stubborn goofy wolfhound....if i was going to have another dog it would be medium-small, poop scooping for big dogs requires a shovel!0

what WAS you going to say ????0 -
Big Dogs!! Standard Poodles are my absolute FAVORITE!! I had a silver one for 14 years - greatesr pet/friend/little brother EVER - and just had to put him down last year.
But right now I do have a small dog named Sagan. He was abandoned and was going to have to go to a kill shelter if I didn't take him and it just broke my heart. His face was just to adorable to let go! He's a bich-poo mix and is about 20 lbs and is the ONLY small dog I will ever own. He's the best little cuddle bug, but he's no good for exercising. When we go for long walks, I have to start carrying him at the 3 mile mark. :ohwell:
The fiance and I have a list of dogs we want to get throughout our lives and they all consist of big dogs:
-Great Dane
-Scottish Deer Hound
-Standard Poodle
-Newfoundland
Just to name a few!0 -

Mine either! haha don't worry! :laugh:0 -
I love all kinds of dogs.
Right now, I have three 20-pound pugs. They're not so small I worry about stepping on them and crushing them, and not so big I can't allow them to sit on my lap. They're a perfect smallish dog for me! They have lots of big dog personality traits packed into a compact package.
My youngest pug is my hiking buddy. He can climb anything and has the energy to hike 10+ miles.0 -
But I just don't get why people discrimate against dogs based on size.
Me neither! My small dogs (pugs) are not "yappy anklebiters". They're as proud and noble and "real" as the dalmatians, labradors and big mutts I grew up with. I love all friendly, well-mannered dogs, regardless of size and breed.0 -
Neither. I am a cat person :bigsmile:0
-
Any size dog but mine is Medium.
Large and medium Parrots the one that owns me is Medium.0 -
I just completley read this forum wrong!!!!0
-
Medium is ideal. I love large dogs, but a lot of them drool. Small dogs are great, but there are only a few that I really love. My dog right now is medium...65 lbs. Someday I want a Golden Retriever, so then I will probably have to say large.0
