Weight Training - Where do I start?!

Hi everyone

I want to start doing weight training at home but I have noooo idea where to start. What type of weights should I buy, how heavy, etc. I'm a 68kg, 23 year old girl.

Appreciate any advice :)

    I'm getting ready to start with Kettlebells. My sister swears by "Kettlebell Bombshell". I'll be starting it next week. Hopefuly it's magical.
  • If you will only be doing this at home than I strongly suggest one of the dumbbell sets that you can adjust the weight on. You don't want to buy 5 pound weights and need 20s in a month. They have two or three types at walmart that would do the trick.

    I recommend the book, "The New Rules of Lifting for Women".

    The ChaLEAN Extreme program is mostly strength training-- I love it!

    I also recommend Bowflex SelectTech weights, or a cheaper brand. If you can't make the investment, a good set of resistance bands would work as well.
