Just over daily calories, exercises I can do in my bedroom?

So I'm like 125 calories over for the day, which I know isn't bad, but I have a little bit of energy left and I was trying to think of exercising I could do to burn those few excess calories. Suggestions?

When I have just a few calories to burn, I like to go walking around the store, like Walmart, Meijer, etc.... or around my house. Vigorous cleaning can burn calories, as well!

jumping jacks, jogging in place, boxing, jumping rope, anything to get that heart rate pumping... sometimes i can really get my HR up while cleaning too!
  • jump-roping and hula hooping if you have access to them! my favorite random little exercises to do at home.

Burpees, mountain climbers, switch kicks, exploding lunges, pushups, jack knife situps, jumping jacks, high jumps. Do 10 of each exercise that counts as 1 set. Only take a short break when absolutely needed. Do 6-8 sets, I promise you'll be sweating in no time.

I wonder how many people have such big bedrooms that they can hula hoop of jump-rope in there! amazing, wish i had that much space!

If you have 20 minutes to spare with an extra 5 for stretching and cooling down, I would find a good podcast online - there are some great 10 minute ones which focus on specific areas so you could do one different area a day perhaps?

So my suggestion is, put your favourite music on (something that you can dance to) close your curtains and just let yourself go and dance your b*tt off for 10 minutes only stopping to drink water.

Then get straight into the 10 minute podcast without taking a break at all so your HR is still up, you'll definitely get benefits from this.

Here are some great 10 min podcasts I have found on my quest to lose wiehgt both at home and at the gym: http://www.thinqfitness.com/video/ELM/Jessica_Vasquez_Cruz_Waist_Workout_Video

If you have an ipod touch or an iphone, there's a great app from Nike that has 15min target workouts (as well as many others!) These get your heart rate up pretty quick, and don't need much space!

If not... Crunches, lunges, punching (with or without weights), speedball, tricep dips, push ups, running on the spot, star jumps.. etc

    ;)
