I do!
I use to live in a haunted apartment years ago. The ghost lady would just appear at odd times. My cat would growl at her, she would touch my hubby on the shoulder several times while in the living room and she just appeared in the kitchen one time while we were cooking and scared my then 18 month old daughter.
We had a dear friend pass away unexpectedly. The same year at Christmas time we were talking about him when several christmas ornaments flew off of our tree. Then when we were eating dinner near the anniversary of his death and talking about what a prankster he was, my husbands plate pushed forward to him just out of the blue!
This Saturday (is my birthday, but that's another subject ) I am going on my first ghost hunt tour and I'm super stoked!!!! Geeking out a bit about what might/could happen. My iPad has a thermal camera on it, so I plan on bringing it and my digital with me!!!
So, anyone have any personal ghost stories to share? :flowerforyou:

whilst studying in London, i had a few freaky experiences... such as things falling out of cupboards, faint groans, shadows... so yes, I think its a good possibility.
Sadly, the ghost never did my washing up or hoovered

When I was round an ex-boyfriends house, we decided to do some glass divination. It started to move, I didn't move it, and I asked my boyfriend at the time if he moved it, he said no. I will never know whether he did move it or not, but it was a bit scary to say the least.
Second experience was when my gran had died, and after the funeral we all went to her house for the wake. I was talking to my mum and it felt like someone had touched me on the shoulder. I looked round and there was no one there. I reckon it was my gran, but I don't know.
Third experience was when I was driving along at night, and there was this man walking on the side of the road. It looked like he was wearing old fashioned clothes. I looked in the mirror behind me and there was nothing. I would have thought my brake lights would have at least shown someone was there, but nothing.
And fourth experience, was again, at night...driving along at a slow pace (about 30mph) when I saw someone running in front of the car. All I could see was legs as the lights were shining down on the road so I couldn't see any body. I sped up a bit, and they just vanished.

I believe in ghosts/spirits. My Grandmothers old house had one and I'm pretty sure our house has one. And I know that my childrens 2 passed Great Grandmothers visit from time to time.0

No. But well done on your weightloss! :happy:0

I believe in a supernatural but not ghosts in the classic sense of disembodied spirits of deceased people.0
-
Nope. I believe after you die you have more important things to do. But congrats on the weight loss!0

I'm not sure. But kind of.0

When I was 4 years old, I saw the ghost of my grandpa the night he died. He lived in Poland, I was in Canada. My mom wouldn't believe me when I kept telling her that he was there. Next morning, her sister called to forward the bad news.
I remember him playing with me under the dinning room table with my stuffed animals
The only time I actually ever saw him was when my family went over there when I was 2 years old. I'm happy to have had the experience I did.0 -
As a child I "saw" many ghosts, dreamed future events and later I learned to read Tarot cards. LOL My mom was convinced I was into Devil Worship (strong Catholic background). Now that I am older (45) I don't "see" like I used to, but yes, I tend to "see" more the week of a full moon. My daughter has amazing abilities and sees ghosts all the time! Sometimes she says its hard to concentrate in school because they bother her. So one story ...
When my mom died suddenly, for three days my tv would shut off all the time, dishes would fall off the counter and we were all feeling someone touching us. I went to a psychic and my mom has some apologies to make to me. After that, she "moved on".0 -
I had a Out of body experience once, scared the living #### out of me. I don't believe in ghosts though.

I believe in them, and I believe that my mom has come to me. It was right after her death, and she came to me to let me know she was alright. I also think she sends me signs to say hello.
Am I nuts? lol0 -
I am fascinated by all this! Never had a personal experience myself.0

Totally opened this thread, scrolled to the bottom only getting a glimpse of the first line the OP typed about her haunted apartment. TOTALLY not reading this thread! >___>0

I do believe in ghosts but have never seen one. Would be very interested to hear how the hunt goes.0

Yes, please let us know how your Ghost hunt goes!! I am sooo jealous0

When I was 18, I had my baby C-section and had an out of body experience, I watch the dr.'s working on me.
In 2003 my dad pasted and my daughter was visited by him, he told her every think would be ok that he was fine.0 -
I tentatively believe, but have never actually seen anything myself.
Growing up, I lived in an 1857 farmhouse. Historically, the family that built it was divided by taking opposing sides during the Civil War. The Indian Trail also went through here.
I always used to be afraid of the stairs and at night, I felt sure someone was standing at the foot of my bed. My parents just figured I was afraid of the dark. I still run up and down the stairs as quickly as possible when I visit.*LOL* My mom told me later that every day at 1pm you can hear footsteps on the stairs and then they head towards MY room. Now I'm not so sure that it was childish fears alone.
My mom almost died from bowel blockage shortly after she delivered me. She saw her grandfather appear in the doorway and told her it wasn't her time to go yet. There was white light behind him. Ever since then, she can make weird predictions about things (like someone will visit, who we haven't seen in years!) and she sees spirits. One time, when her dad will ill, she saw an old man standing over her when she was in the bathtub, washing the soap out her hair. She told me that it looked like her other grandfather. It really freaked her out and she tried to ignore him, but when he didn't go away, she finally told him to and then he vanished. She thought he was trying to give her a message. My mom hates when these things happen. It really creeps her out. I just wonder if her near-death experience didn't open it up for her.
If I actually saw a REAL ghost, I'd probably soil my pants.*LOL*

Yes. I had one in my house when I moved in. Saw him often & could feel his presence. He didn't do any weird things like slam doors, which would have freaked me out. It was actually kind of comforting knowing he was there.0

Thanks for the weight loss kudos! Super stoked about that too!!!!
Okay, maybe "ghosts" is the wrong terminology. Maybe it shoud read do you believe in the supernatural?
It wasn't until we bought our first home and moved out of that apartment that I found out an older lady had died in my daughters room. I always had a strange feeling when I went into her room, but never felt threatened.
My sister and I witnessed our family cat running down the hall after us shortly after he passed and that was the first experience I had. For both she and I to experience it at the same time, same place was too much of a coincidence.
I will TOTALLY let you know how the tour goes!!!!0 -
And the tooth Fairy. And Santa Claus. And the Easter Bunny. And balancing the US Budget.0

I would like to say I do not, but I am not totally sure. My ex-husband recently passed away. We have two young girls whom he used to call 3 or 4 times each day. The phone has been ringing off the wall since he passed and there is rarely anyone on the other end when we answer. I haven't said anything to the kids, but they keep looking at me with a questioning look, so I think I know what they are thinking, but I am not going to say it out loud.0

What Phone company are you going through, cuz I can't even get reception in the Mall?0 -
i totally do. i'm a pagan and i'm an empath, i don't see them as often as i did as a kid - that's totally normal - but i feel them a lot. my aunt has one in her house, he turns the light off EVERY night at 8pm. she has to go turn it back on. my bestie works in a hotel, they had a guy on a business trip die there, and ever since, the elevator opens in the lobby at 5am and no one is on it. also, the house my mom grew up in was haunted, he liked the kids and was often in the barn-turned-garage when they would play. my mom was playing in the hay loft once and was spinning and spinning and spinning, and nearly fell to her death when she spun right off the loft floor - he pushed her back up and saved her. so i wouldn't be here without the ghost of Mr. Johnson.
there are different kinds of hauntings - there are ppl who honestly don't move on, some for personal reasons and some b/c they don't understand what happened. then there are "echo" hauntings, like the ghost cat racing down the stairs, this isn't so much a haunting as an imprint of energy that will linger, sometimes for centuries. there's poltergeist energy, which is rarely a haunting at all, but rather a manifestation of enough teenage angst and psychic power that they combine and become dangerous. and then there's the "pop in" when someone who has gone on ahead just swings by to say "hi" - my dad does this. i'll be watching a show or reading a book and randomly the TV will turn on or change channel to a John Wayne movie - my dad LOVED the Duke. I just say hi and i miss you and go on with my day.0 -
Yes I do. The first home we bought and lived in for 17 years, I routinely experienced odd things, mainly in one corner of our bedroom, hearing rustling noises, waking up feeling the bed vibrating, and I was also startled awake a couple times feeling like someone squeezed my foot. My husband made fun of me for it, but our oldest son who slept upstairs would fall asleep with his closet door shut and wake up with it open. It was a sliding door so it wasn't like it had a bad latch or anything. I never felt threatened, I just felt like there was something there with us. We sold the house 6 years ago and I haven't experienced any odd activity since we moved.0

I've had some weird-*kitten* stuff happen to me that keeps me from being a non-believer.
The weirdest thing was in college. My roommate had a loft that would eat things. One day, she was tearing the room apart looking for her keys and her student ID. Out of frustration, she smacked the side of the loft. The keys/ID fell out of the bottom of the loft (no shelves no hooks, no nothin' underneath) into her bean-bag chair below. We laughed it off, and went on our way. The next week, she was looking for a *textbook* she needed for class, and couldn't find it. I jokingly told her to hit the loft again. She did, and the book fell into the bean-bag chair. :noway:0
