Compartment syndrome and shin splints

Help ... I am in hell and haven't even started 30DS yet.
I have compartment syndrome in both lower legs and it is starting up already - all I have done is buy a new pair of sneakers (good ones) and done some additional gentle walking over the past week - just to get myself moving that bit more. For the past 15 years my favourite exercise has been resistance - I resist exercise!! lol
But has anyone got any tips on how I can up my exercise and keep the aggravation of the CS to a minimum - or move the blood that is pooling in my calf muscles. Yes, I did have surgery on them bout 15 years ago and that has helped a lot but ..... Thankfully my shin splints are not back (yet) but my history says that if the CS gets out of control they will not be far behind.
Add to the mix a nice healthy (well, unhealthy dose) of arthritis in the fee and I am already sick of being in pain!! In addition to the pain in my calves, it feels like every bone in both feet are broken.
I need to loose weight and exercise to help the CS and shin splints but it hurrrts so much.

Do you enjoy swimming??? That would probably be the best low impact exercise for your legs and feet. Aqua aerobics can be great and ive even seen aqua zumba.0

Thanks Diggs .... actually i really hate swimming (something to do with almost drowning as a child).
i know I will most likely have to end up with this as my main source of exercise at some point - but was hoping for more tips on things i can do from home without having to spend too much money.0 -
I am not familiar with CS, so I can't give any advice there.
What about biking? That's usually low impact... when I hurt my knee a few years ago, the physical therapist recommended that.
Also, some people say losing weight is 75% diet, 15% exercise, so you can still do it by cutting calories, and not killing your legs with workouts.
Good luck!0
