Height 5.8 and wears jeans US size 6.

Just to settle a discussion at work: would you say this person is normal, slender or fat?

    Certainly not fat. Can't quite picture it in my head, but that seems quite a small clothing size for someone that tall. They're probably a normal weight, but appear on the slender side.

    I don't think height and jean size alone is enough to make a call here. However, since I'm 5.1, wear a size 5/6, and am considered "normal" (referring to size, not mentality :laugh: ), I would say average to slender. Again, it's hard to tell with just size and height.

    I am 5'9 and wear 10/12 I would like to get to a size 8 and i think that would look ok....size 6 for me????maybe....maybenot.

    That's very hard to say...it depends on the person...

    I am 5.9" and wear a UK 8/10 which is pretty close to what you describe.

    I would say I am pretty "average" so that's what I'm going with. :happy:

    Lower end of normal...but height doesn't have a lot to do with Jean size.

    Slender to normal. Simply giving a size isn't a lot of information. Size 6 means something very different depending on the store or designer. :-) And body shape would affect that, too.

    But I wouldn't say size 6 in any case is fat.

    I think it all depends on the build, too. For some people, if they wore a size 6, they would look anorexic, for others, it would be slender/normal. But, if you're talking about the person in the picture, I would stay slender.
