Hello! I am new to My fitness! I was just wondering if anyone had some dinner ideas they really liked and would like to share with me. I am not much of a fish eater and I have been cooking chicken breasts every night since I started almost. My husband is sick of it and really pushing for some "real meat" LOL. I have been keeping my dinners to around 300-500 cals. Anyway if you have any ideas please lt me know.

I am not familar with anyone on this site so if anyone would like a friend to help give positive enforcement please add me :)

Jackie

I love pork loin chops either grilled or broiled. You can get whole pork loins on sale fairly regularly and have the butcher slice them into chops that you can divide up into packages and freeze. Pork loin is "the other white meat" and is very lean and tasty. Don't shy away from other lean meats either. Just get a good kitchen scale and weigh your portions.
  • Yep---check out skinnytaste.com Great chicken enchiladas, and chicken zucchini roll ups, and you must try the Fiesta Lime rice--I made it just last night!

    Hi and welcome!!

I know you asked for something other than chicken, but I want to share this one, because it is DELICIOUS.

I think the chicken and tomato/bean mix is around 300 calories (depending on how much of it you eat, of course!)

Another favorite, which is perfect for fall/winter is "Southwestern Stuffed Acorn Squash" from Eatingwell.com

The recipe uses turkey sausage, but you could sub it for any meat that you and your hubby like to use in chili.

    Hope you enjoy!
    I'm also friending you
