Hi, do we go based off the calories burned on the treadmill or the calories burned here? When I log in my exercise what this website tells me is something totally different. I am worried that I may be going over calories, thus my weight gain...

HRM > Treadmill > MFP is how I would do it.

HRM burned cal is not equal to Treadmill's, I usually go with the HRM as it is on my body.

most people who have a HRM (which is the ideal test for calories burnt) have said that the number on the HRM is quite a bit lower (1/3 to 1/2, depending on the exercise) than the machine and/or MFP.

if you are gaining weight, there could be a number of reasons:
    1. recording incorrect # of calories burnt by exercise
    2. not eating enough (netting at least 1,200 calories on average per day)
    3. eating foods that work against your battle to burn fat (i.e., sugars and foods with a high glycemic index value).
    4. exercise overboard...not giving your muscles any/enough recovery time.
