Hello all,

I'm new to MFP but not to weightloss. I started my weightloss journey in April 2008 as I was diagnosed with PCOS with insulin resistence. This diagnosis didn't come as a shock as my husband and I had been struggling with infertility for 2 years. Through medication (Metformin) and a lot of hard work I was able to go from 272 pounds to 182 pounds! In November our dreams came true and we found out we were pregnant after 4 years of infertility!

I had my beautiful baby girl in July 2011 and we couldn't be happier! I'm ready to continue my weightloss journey so I can be a healthy example for my daughter and also want to be able to get pregnant and maintain another healthy pregnancy. I currently weigh 178 and my current goal weight is 155, when I get there I will re-evaluate if I want to go a little lower.

I'm excited about MFP and will mostly be using it on my phone as I go back to work next week (teaching). I love weightloss challenges and games so I'm on the look out to join something like that, or a buddy that we can e-mail encouragement to each other! Good luck and I hope everyone achieves their goals!

Megan

Wow you are insperation to not only your baby but to me also. I am a nwe father to a 8 month old baby boy. I have always been over weight. I hate it. I weight 312 pounds right now and I am wanting to go down to 230. I want to do this for the same reason as you. I want to be a good example to my son. I have been on MFP for a long time but just now really getting serious about it. If you like I would love to be you buddy. I will try and motivate as much as possible. Maybe some day I will be able to say that I lost almost weight as you. I hope all goes well with you and your baby. and good luck with you possible other pregnency.
