Im ending my first full 5 days of my "new me" plan. I have stuck to my plan, done more exercising than I thought I could and have been really good about making the right decisions this week for food. It was easy because of the work I do and I am set with my schedule so I ate at the same time each day.

Now comes the weekend.... i'm going to do my best to stick to my plans... I know I only have myself to answer to if I falter (and the scale and measuring tape). My boyfriend is overweight but isnt trying as hard as I am lo lose it and I am afraid his junk food and fast food habits will play into my goals this weekend. I

will not let them!

I have pre-made meals in the fridge and if we have to eat out, ill stick to salad with no dressing and grilled chicken. And of course ill take my purse full of snacks with me wherever we go!

Wish me luck! It's about to get TOUGH!

It sounds like you have a great plan. You will do fine. Just keep your goal in your mind and repeat it as often as needed.
  • Thanx C... I know I can do it!
  • I am with you! Plan Plan Plan! It at least limits the damage. I always struggle on the weekends--it is frustrating to loose during the week and then gain most of it back on the weekend. Why does it work that way?

I am also out of town all day tomorrow so that just compounds it. I packed good snacks and a lunch so I am as prepared as I can be.

I will report back tomorrow night--join me? Accountability is a good thing!

You have a good plan - and you've done well this week, so keep strong! I have a husband who's not really dieting with me and it definately makes it more difficult - but you already know that the key is in planning, planning, planning ahead! I have a friend who lost over a hundred pounds and she said her key to weekends was to stay busy! I'm gonna try that approach - work in the yard, maybe start putting together some photo albums - stuff like that, so I'm not tempted to pick chips off my hubby's plate!

Good luck - you can do this!!!
  • Yea, having a sig. other who isnt on the same page is kinda hard, but i finally just said "thats it" and now if he doesnt want to eat what I am eating, he can make his own. Im not cooking for 2 anymore (too much temptation!) and he could stand to eat better. We are an active couple, always out and about with different sports or walking through the zoo or wild animal park. Thanx for the encouragement! Ill post back and let you all know how I did! 100lbs is a lot to lose, but it all comes one step and one pound at a time!
  • Okay I promised to post how I did so here it is. I did great on breakfast & went with the plan. Had an extra snack as I drove 2 hours to Kansas City--graham crackers & peanut butter.

Ate my scheduled lunch, snacks etc as I coached all afternoon.

Didn't drink my whole soda(as planned) as we drove home but had an extra snack of some mixed nuts.

Supper was in the crockpot & ready--had an extra piece of bread with my soup.

So I see that I need to plan better snacks for my drives(I do this once a month). However my "extra" choices haven't pushed me over in to a really bad day. Probably more of a maintenance day than a loose day. I also see that I lean towards needing protein and a little caffiene to get me through the long day.

How did your day go? I will check in tomorrow--Stick with your plan!
