Hey, im a 22 year old aussie guy.
ive been over-weight mooost of my life, with the exception of a few years during my teens.
about 18 months ago i was 143 kgs, and did very little physical activity. For no real reason i decided to start going to the gym, I guess the reason was that a new 24 hour gym opened near my house and my house mates were all for it, guess it was a social thing.
I casually went to the gym with little/no direction for months. i gave it a break and about 6 months ago started to go again, still @ 143 kgs.
Discovering the Stronglifts 5x5 program gave me real direction as to what training i worked into my routine, after 3 months I was 136 kgs, not a bad effort seeing as I was eating stacks of junkfood and crap.
3 months ago I decided to kick it up a notch and start eating "properly" but found tracking my food difficult and inaccurate, still after another two months I had lost another kilo and stacked on heaps of muscle.
Ive been eating progressively better and making daily choices, like parking away from work and walking in, or taking the stairs.
Im new to this site, but coupled with www.fitocracy.com, it suits me perfectly!
Im presently 128 kgs and I feel great :-)
Im looking for some motivation, and maybe something in my news feed! so if you want to track my progress, offer encouragement, or are looking for someone to keep you motivated! then throw me a friend request!!
