getting started

like everyone i struggle with giving in to food impulses. anyone have any ideas on what to do to switch these off ? I am trying to get healthier and look better too. I know that fast food is my nemesis but i can eat healthy things at home but too much of it. Ideas????

Unfortunately, I don't think there are any easy and fast cures to turn off cravings, and giving into them. But there is hope...because if you can power through and behave yourself for a little bit, you get a whole lot better at it! Most of the time anyway. Everyone slips up sometimes, but you can always start fresh and do better the next day.0 -
When I have an urge for something that I dont NEED.... I brush my teeth! It goes away!!0

If nothing else, just start logging everything you eat - then zone in on something to work on. Start with something easy like more water or more fiber. Get in some servings of fruits and vegetables. Cut back on sugar and sodium etc. When you have a handle on your weaknesses, try to improve on them. Limit your fast food outings to half as many as you have been doing. Find things you can eat that help you not feel deprived. Try and get a little better every day or every week and pretty soon, you'll have replaced those bad habits with good ones. You can do this.0
