Clean-eating dessert suggestions?

It seems that after eating dinner, I am not satisfied until I have something sweet (fruit doesn't cut it for me). I am trying to eat clean, so no processed foods. Does anyone have suggestions? I have been eating my Bear Naked cookies everyday, but am wanting some variety.

In Japan, good fruit is typically served as a dessert. That's what I would choose. Else, I'm stumped.
  • -2 T uncooked oats
    -1 T almond butter
-a few drops of agave nectar/cocoa powder/carob powder/carob or unsweetened chocolate chips

stir it up, roll it into a ball, and leave it in the fridge for a few hours. yum! and full of good fats, fibers, protein, vitamins, antioxidants.

    Brownies

16-oz jar of almond butter (Trader Joes creamy raw variety)
    2 eggs
    1 cup pure maple syrup
    ¼ cup agave nectar
    1 tablespoon vanilla
    ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons cacao powder
    ½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup cacao + extra for sprinkling on top
    Sea salt flakes (optional)

Preheat oven to 325. Grease an 8 x 8 cake pan.
Using a hand mixer, blend almond butter until creamy. Add eggs, maple syrup, agave, vanilla, cacao, salt and baking powder; mix until fully combined. Stir in 1/4 cup cacao nibs.
Pour into prepared pan. You have the option to sprinkle extra cacao nibs and sea salt flakes for a crunch and enhanced flavor. Bake for 35 – 40 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10-15 minutes before cutting and serving.

For me I have about 75grams of greek yoghurt with honey and some warmed up frozen berries on top. Seriously does the trick for me and I am a self-confessed sugarholic hah :).

Otherwise a few squares of dark chocolate?

    Grilled pineapple

Put all in a food processor:
    Almonds
    Walnuts (or other nuts)
    almond butter
    unsweetened coconut
    chopped dates

spread out in pan and smooth with coconut oil.

    - It's a great little dessert and post-workout snack

I keep cut up mango and pineapple in baggies in the freezer. When I need a treat I blend some with a little almond milk (can use regular) and agave syrup (can use honey or maple syrup) in a mini food processor. Comes out like soft sorbet. Yum!
