So, for once my doctor made me smile.

I started seeing a nutrionist last month just to get some direction on healthy lifestyles...cause all this carbs, calories, good and bad...things confused the snot out of me. I went back today and had lost five pounds over three weeks. I was kinda bummed, because I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere.

Then she pulled up my weight sheets for the past several years...and showed me where I had weighed 218lb, I said that was when I was prego with my son and she informed me...nope, that was a few months post baby, I weighed more after I had him then when I was 9mo prego.

She showed me that what I hadn't noticed along the way was that the walking, and watching what I was eating is actually working so even though its been almost two years...I went from 218 to 175 ...so I've lost 43lbs. Which, kinda makes me grin like an idiot..

*UPDATE*
After talking to her I went back and pulled my pictures...you're so right about not seeing it when you look in the mirror...this was me at my heaviest...-embarrused- 10430_1254367885093_1406446932_30744016_2252511_n.jpg
and this is me now

Oh, and my hubby has been giving me greif about my'girly exercise video' the 30 day shred I started because I was so sore...well he tried it today and nearly blacked out.

Then said sorry, and he took it all back.

This also made me smile.

....

Done now. <3

I am glad you had a good report at the DR. I know some times we need to look at the overall picture to see improvements. People think exercising is easy but man they havent tried it, thats for sure.

That's so awesome! It's definitely harder to see the progress when we're staring ourselves down everyday in the mirror, and it often takes something like this to prove it! Way to go (and also, the longer it takes to lose, the more likely you are to keep it off for good)! And ditto about the Shred--it almost killed my husband and he had to buy smaller weights for it :)

Congrats on the weight loss. 5 pounds is amazing when you are doing 30 day shred. I have gained weight while doing it but my clothes are fitting so much better. Now if only I could talk my husband into doing 30DS with me...
